Mid/Senior Level React Developer

We are looking for a talented react developer to lead our frontend team!


Trading since 2001, Skiddle sell tickets for tens of thousands of events throughout the UK, from independent club nights through to 60,000 capacity festivals. Skiddle currently sells tickets for the likes of The Warehouse Project, Reading and Leeds Festivals, Live Nation and hundreds of independent venues and promoters across the country. With over 10 million page impressions per month with a 30+% growth year on year, you will be working on the busiest event ticketing website in the UK. Likewise we host the largest festival guide in Europe.


We are looking for a talented React developer to join our development team. The position is based in our open plan office in Longridge, near Preston.  This position is open to developers already in a team lead / senior position, or to those ready to make that next step!


We value your opinion! As a team lead, you will have the expertise to suggest the best approach to finding solutions and are able to drive a project from concept to completion. Our development team is small but moves quickly, so an understanding agile workflow and developing in an iterative process is a must.


We are looking for someone who is passionate and love what they do, and looks

to continually improve their skills, whilst mentoring others to do the same.


You will have a gained a relative computing degree and be able to demonstrate an up to

date portfolio of work, side projects are advantageous.



Must have:

  • Commercial experience with React JS Framework (up to the latest version 16) with a strong portfolio of demonstrable work.

  • Familiar with ES6/7/8

  • Experience of SCSS & build tools (Gulp, Webpack, NPM)

  • Demonstrable understanding of user experience (UX) & best practices.

  • Experience with version control (SVN / GIT).

  • Exposure to Web services / RESTful APIs.

  • Integrating with 3rd Party Software.

  • Demonstrate knowledge of security best practises.

  • Be able to discuss technical solutions with team members and other stakeholders and provide innovative new ideas to solutions.

  • Experience with Agile process


Would like to have:

  • PHP / Mysql.

  • Amazon Web Services.

  • Experience with ElasticSearch.

  • Maintain a high awareness of industry issues and trends, particularly in regard to accessibility, usability, and emerging technologies, and keep team members informed as appropriate

  • Exposure to Jira as a project management tool.
